Customer Portal – Understanding the Shared Data

Prev Next

This article explains which EUDR information your supplier shares with you in the Customer Portal and the meaning of each item.

Due Diligence Statement Information

  • DDS reference number: The number that the EU information system TRACES issues when your supplier submits a Due Diligence Statement (DDS). An assessment can contain several DDS reference numbers.

  • Verification code: The code that TRACES issues together with the reference number. The reference number and the verification code together identify the DDS of your supplier.

Note

Your supplier can share an assessment before the DDS has been submitted. In this case, the columns DDS and Verification codes are still empty. As soon as your supplier has submitted the DDS, the values appear in the Customer Portal.

Document References

Document references, such as delivery IDs, sales order IDs or purchase order IDs, link an assessment to a business transaction. Your supplier decides which references it stores in the assessment. To find the assessments for your deliveries quickly, agree with your supplier which references are provided.

The Assessment PDF

The assessment PDF in the Customer Portal is the external version of the assessment report. It contains the EUDR information intended for you, such as the DDS reference numbers, the verification codes and the result of the risk assessment. Confidential supply chain information of your supplier, such as supplier data, is not included.

Land Plot Data (GeoJSON)

The GeoJSON file contains the land plots of the assessment as a FeatureCollection. Each land plot is a feature with its geometry (for example a polygon) and the properties ProductionPlace (name of the production place), ProducerCountry (country code) and CommodityTypes. You can open the file in common GIS applications, for example.

Using the Data for Your Own Obligations

Depending on your role under the EUDR, you can use the information from the Customer Portal, for example to reference the DDS of your supplier in your own Due Diligence Statements or to document the origin of your goods. Which obligations apply to you depends on your role in the supply chain.
