If your company is based within the European Union and provides goods or services from there, you are an EU supplier under the EUDR. Before using the Supplier Portal, make sure your Organisation Profile is set up accordingly.
Open the Organisation profile and make sure that EU market operator is selected under Type of market operator. This setting determines which options are available to you in the Supplier Portal.

Further Information
You can find additional details about the Organisation Profile in the article: Supplier Portal – Organisation Profile. For the differences between EU and non-EU suppliers, see: Two Different Types of EUDR Suppliers.
Overview for EU Suppliers
As an EU supplier, what you submit for a given product depends on your role in the supply chain for that specific batch, not on your company as a whole, since the same company can act in different roles for different products.
The following table shows the recommended process steps if you use the Supplier Portal as an EU supplier, and what you submit depending on your role for a given batch:
Your role for this batch | What you do yourself | What you submit in the Supplier Portal |
|---|---|---|
(First) operator | Collect geodata, carry out due diligence and create the Due Diligence Statement (DDS) | The DDS reference number of the resulting DDS |
(First) downstream operator | Nothing further for this product – it is already covered by a DDS submitted earlier in the chain | No DDS reference number; use the simplification when creating the batch |

Am I a (first) operator or a downstream operator?
Decide this for each batch, based on your role in the supply chain for that specific product.
(First) operator: You collect geodata, carry out due diligence, and create the Due Diligence Statement (DDS) yourself for this product. In this case, you submit the resulting DDS reference number when responding to a request.
Open EUDR products: Go to EUDR products in the main menu of the Supplier Portal.
Select the product: Click on the product in the table for which you want to create a batch.
Create a new batch: Use the green plus at the bottom right and click on Create new batch or Import batches if you want to upload the information via a file.
Fill out batch details: Enter the details for the batch and choose DDS reference numbers. Continue with Next.

Check the related products: Choose which products are related to this batch. Then continue with Next.
Enter the DDS reference number: Select + Add DDS and enter the DDS reference number of your Due Diligence Statement for this batch. Finish with Add batch to save it.

(First) downstream operator: The product you are supplying is already covered by a DDS submitted by an operator earlier in the chain. In this case, you are not required to pass on a DDS reference number for it. For this, you have the option to toggle on I am not a (first) "operator" within the meaning of EUDR while creating a batch.
Open EUDR products: Go to EUDR products in the main menu of the Supplier Portal.
Select the product: Click on the product in the table for which you want to create a batch.
Create a new batch: Use the green plus at the bottom right and click on Create new batch.
Switch on the simplification: Instead of entering a DDS reference number, toggle on I am not a (first) "operator" within the meaning of EUDR.

Confirm the simplification: In the window that opens, confirm that you qualify and click on Apply simplification.

Note
The simplification applies exclusively to downstream operators within the EU supply chain. The confirmation window is there to prevent you from activating the option by accident. The option is also available when you respond to an information request, and it is disabled for organisations classified as non-EU operators.
Where do I find the full batch creation steps?
For the complete walkthrough of creating a batch, see Management of Products and EUDR Batches.
Once your batch is created, it is transmitted when you respond to a product request or a purchase order request. You can find the steps for this in Answering EUDR Requests.
What about re-imports or transitional-period products?
If your batch involves a product first placed on the EU market during the transitional period, you may be able to use the universal DDS reference number instead. See Managing Batches with the Universal Reference Number.
